Boras Waste Recovery AB (BWR) was formed in spring 2014 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Borås Energi och Miljö. The company was established in collaboration with Borås Energy and Environment, City of Borås, SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden and the University of Borås. The aim is to develop the collaboration that has been underway since 2007 and identify international projects in which the skills of all parties can be put to use.
In collaboration with cities, BWR’s task is to create long-term, sustainable solutions for waste and energy flows. In international projects, especially in resource recovery and the environmental field, the problems are often complicated and require a variety of experiences and knowledge for sustainable and long-term results. This opens up new markets for the players working in collaboration and their local and national networks.
BWR also works with Swedish companies who want to reach out to the markets in which BWR is active.
Boras Waste Recovery AB will be the natural choice of partner for designing ecocycle-adapted cities internationally.
Boras Waste Recovery AB shall, through collaboration and knowledge transfer on an international market, contribute to the development of local, sustainable societies. This will generate business opportunities for the company and its network.
We are achieving this by:
- Creating strong Triple Helix – partnerships to ensure the sustainability of projects
- Approaching projects holistically
- Generating long-term knowledge transfer through education and research
- Opening markets for Swedish environmental technology
BWR is a wholly owned subsidiary of Borås Energy and Environment, which is in turn part of Borås Stadshus AB and owned by the City of Borås.
