The cooperation with Palu has been ongoing since 2009.

The next steps in Palu include developing an organisation in the municipality that works strategically with sustainable development for the city, and building a science park for children. We are also developing a public dialogue by creating a green room in the city.

Vietnam

The cooperation with Da Nang has been ongoing since 2012.

Boras City supports Da Nang in waste management planning.

Boras city in Sweden will support and advise the Da Nang city completing the development of its plans for waste management. In addition, more supports activities will be provided such as waste sorting in Hai Chau district, collaboration with Da Nam University in conducting research on garbage treatment and biogas production technologies. These activities have been confirmed in the meeting between Deputy Mayor of Boras city in Sweden and Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan. He also stressed the need for increasing experience exchanges in garbage classification and promoting bilateral cooperation between the universities of Da Nang and Boras. The experience sharing will help Da Nang early satisfy environmental criteria in the process of building "Environmental City". In addition, the city leader vowed to create even more favourable conditions for boosting bilateral cooperation in the coming years. (The City of Da Nang)
